Former UNIJOS Student Welfare Secretary drowns while swimming with pals, according to reports
Over the weekend, a former Student Union Government Welfare Secretary at the University of Jos (UNIJOS) died in a drowning incident.
Showul Alex, also known as Sholex, was believed to have gone trekking with pals at Shere Hills in Jos on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
According to an eyewitness, Sholex entered the water, swam, and then exited to rest. He then leapt in again, but this time he drowned.
All attempts to save him were futile, as his body vanished into the ocean and was only discovered on Tuesday, March 29.
Alex's body will be laid to rest today, and may his soul rest in peace.
