In a groundbreaking development, Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State has successfully revitalized the long-dormant Minna Airport, which had been undergoing remodeling by the federal government for over a decade.

The airport, previously closed due to a cut-off runway, has now been completely overhauled and rebranded as the impressive Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna.

Upon assuming office, Governor Umaru Bago took immediate action to secure approval to spearhead the long-delayed airport project, which had languished for more than 11 years. Swiftly obtaining approval, he promptly awarded the remodeling contract, resulting in the completion of the runway and the construction of a new terminal within an impressive 90-day timeframe.

Previously lacking a passenger terminal, the airport now proudly features a fully furnished Domestic Terminal, named after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The terminal is set to be officially commissioned on March 11th, 2024.

Additionally, construction has commenced on the long-abandoned Hajj Terminal, expected to be operational within three months, signaling the revival of Hajj operations after a two-year hiatus.

These monumental initiatives, undertaken in collaboration with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), demonstrate a steadfast commitment to national aviation standards. The completion of the Cargo and International Terminals within the next 12 months will further solidify the airport's status as a key transportation hub.

Equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including an Instrumental Landing System (ILS) and Distance Measuring Equipment, Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, is positioned as a viable alternative to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Crucially, this airport serves as a linchpin in Governor Umaru Bago's ambitious agricultural revolution program for Niger State. With a functional airport and a world-class agro-processing zone spanning approximately 2,000 hectares, the region is poised to engage in the efficient export of agricultural goods, including vegetables, fruits, dairy, and other livestock products, to destinations around the globe.

The report that Bola Tinubu left Nigeria for Europe on a working visit is grossly misleading according to insider sources. On the contrary, Europe’s leaders all agree to shun Bola Tinubu and they all declined to meet with him. Their decision is not only shameful but also terrifying.
