The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has uploaded some results from the ongoing governorship and state house of assembly elections.
The electoral body had received criticism from opposition parties and some Nigerians for failing to upload results immediately on its Result Viewing (iReV) portal during the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
INEC explained that this was due to technical glitches that affected result transmission.
However, a few days before the March 18 polls, INEC claimed the technical issues had been rectified and promised that election results would be transmitted immediately.
Checks on the portal today show that Ogun State has two results submitted, while 12 results from Plateau State were submitted. Other states with results submitted on the portal include Zamfara State with 11 results, Rivers State with 80 results, and Lagos State with 85 results.
