During a church service on Sunday morning, gunmen attacked St.



Francis Catholic Church in Owo, the headquarters of the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, killing approximately 50 members of the congregation.

According to reports, more than 50 bodies have been removed from the church, with many more being treated at the Federal Medical Center in Owo.

According to a report, some gunmen broke into the church during a service and started firing on the congregation, killing no less than 50 people.

The killers are alleged to have departed the site after carrying out the murders, which left a large number of victims dead.Some dead bodies were seen soaked with blood in the church in a video obtained by Naijacrawl.


On condition of anonymity, a nurse in Owo told our correspondent that there are insufficient medical professionals on the ground and on duty to attend to the wounded in the hospital's emergency unit, while some of the casualties have been transferred to private hospitals.

The authorities were to provide a full statement on the development as of the time of reporting this story.

Within the hour, the police are anticipated to offer a briefing.
