During a church service on Sunday morning, gunmen attacked St.
Francis Catholic Church in Owo, the headquarters of the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, killing approximately 50 members of the congregation.

The killers are alleged to have departed the site after carrying out the murders, which left a large number of victims dead.Some dead bodies were seen soaked with blood in the church in a video obtained by Naijacrawl.
On condition of anonymity, a nurse in Owo told our correspondent that there are insufficient medical professionals on the ground and on duty to attend to the wounded in the hospital's emergency unit, while some of the casualties have been transferred to private hospitals.
