The family of the detained leader of the separatist group, Nnamdi Kanu has today announced the termination of the service of Mike Ozekhome and Ifeanyi Ejiofor who were until this morning Kanu's lawyer.

It will be recalled that Kanu who has been in DSS custody since June 2021 hired Ozekhome to help with his legal case, a suit that has been postponed till September by the Supreme Court.

Making the termination known to the public, Kanu's family through his younger brother, writes:

I hereby formally notify @MikeozekhomeSAN and @IfeanyiEjiofor that their services are no longer required in #MaziNnamdiKanu case pending before the Supreme Court of Nigeria and all concerning him.
