President Bola Tinubu and God are the only ones who have the authority to reverse the minister of works Dave Umahi's directive.

He emphasized that the claims that cement prices would soar to N9,000 if the government began constructing concrete roads are untrue.

He asserted that those spreading such rumors are doing so as part of a significant effort by the construction industry cabals to discredit him.

At a meeting with contractors from the six geopolitical zones held on Tuesday in Abuja at the ministry's headquarters, the former governor of Enonyi State made this statement.

“This is my line of instructions and I will do whatever the president instructs me to do. He is the only one and God that can cancel my instructions, so don’t waste your time reporting me to anyone apart from these two.

“No matter the amount of blackmail and lies, it will not prevail,” the minister reassured.
