In a heartbreaking and shocking incident, a man identified as Mathias Amunde has been arrested by the Cross River State Police Command for allegedly murdering his own mother in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Details of the gruesome crime emerged from a disturbing police interrogation video shared on Instagram by @isaacfayoseoriginal. In the video, Mathias openly confessed to committing the heinous act alongside his accomplice, Walcot. According to Mathias, the pair fatally assaulted his mother with a stick before dragging her lifeless body out of the house and throwing it into a well.

Speaking in Pidgin English, Mathias admitted during police questioning:

"I and Walcot killed her. We killed her with a stick. Walcot has gone to his house. After we killed her, Walcot dragged her out of the house, and we jointly dragged her to the well. After we got to the well, I opened it, and we jointly threw it into the well."
