Eyewitnesses reported that Joseph was caught and beaten by a crowd while attempting to flee the scene. SP Odutola’s statement provided further clarity: “One Segun, also known as 'Ojo Ibo,' was killed and his right wrist severed at around 9:30 PM on May 14, 2024, following a pursuit by a rival cult member at Bode Olude Junction.”
