The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said President Bola Tinubu is politically ahead of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, New Nigeria Peoples Party’s Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).

APC National Publicity Director Bala Ibrahim stated that Kwankwaso, Obi, and Obasanjo pose no threat to Tinubu.

He made the remark while dismissing the meeting between Kwankwaso, Donald Duke, and Obasanjo.

Obasanjo had met with Kwankwaso and Duke in Absolute, Ogun State, on Saturday. Link

Kwankwaso had said the meeting was a courtesy call where significant deliberations on national issues affecting politics and governance in Nigeria were discussed.

However, Ibrahim described the meeting as inconsequential, stressing that Tinubu had more political relevance and influence.

In a statement, Ibrahim said the combination of Obasanjo, Kwankwaso, and Duke’s force can’t bring any meaningful outcome.

He said: “But when it comes to the politics of Nigeria, particularly contemporary politics, Tinubu is not their mate.
“Tinubu is head and shoulders above them in modern politics in Nigeria. So the combination of Obasanjo, Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, and Donald Duke, who was my schoolmate, does not present a threat to Tinubu. These are people who were trashed in the last election.
“So they can have marathon meetings and meet till the end of time, but they will not present any threat to the government of APC. Who among Kwankwaso, Obasanjo, Obi, Duke was not beaten? If they are bringing angels, it’s a different story.”
