Brazil became the most high-profile country to be eliminated from the 2023 Women’s World Cup being co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
A goalless draw with Jamaica on Wednesday ensured that the Seleço failed to qualify for the knockout phase for the first time in only their second Women’s World Cup.
It is also their earliest exit since 1995, while the point saw the Reggae Girlz finish second behind France.
The other teams that have been sent packing from the tournament include co-hosts New Zealand, the Philippines, Olympic champions Canada, The Republic of Ireland, and Zambia.
Others are Costa Rica, China, Haiti, Portugal, Vietnam, Panama, Italy, Argentina, and South Korea.
