Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann has insisted that Bayern Munich will sack their manager, Thomas Tuchel, if he fails to win the Bundesliga this season.
Tuchel stepped into the hot seat at the Allianz Arena following the sacking of Julian Nagelsmann in March.
Tuchel’s time at Bayern has so far not gone well, as the club dropped to second in the Bundesliga table, one point behind Dortmund, following Saturday’s results.
Bayern Munich was recently eliminated from the Champions League and the German Cup.
However, Hamann believes Tuchel has made "a very confused impression" in his first month in charge of the club, with just two wins across seven matches in all competitions.
“The leadership may be confused but the coach also makes a very confused impression in his four weeks so far,” Hamann was quoted by Ruhr Nachrichten as saying.
“If he also gambles away the championship, it is clear that he will be fired.”
