Though it was a must win match for Chelsea yesterday at Stamford bridge and the Blues narrowly defeated the already relegated Norwich City by one goal to nil, thanks to an Olivier Giorud goal.
The win saw the Blues open a four-point gap over Manchester United and Leicester in the race for a place in the Champions League next season.
Though, Frank Lampard’s men struggled to create and dominate against the Canaries, who have already been relegated, However, Giroud’s bullet header in first-half stoppage time, proved to the winning goal at Stamford Bridge.
However, the next two remaining game for Chelsea will be very tough and challenging and the blues must ensure they are able to secure at least 3 points in the two matches; Up next for Chelsea is a trip to champions Liverpool and sixth-placed Wolves visiting on the last day of the season.
However, Leicester can narrow the gap when they host Sheffield United later today, while United travel to Crystal Palace tomorrow.
The race for the third and fourth positions in the premier league has not been this tough before.
