Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for Manchester United, is on the verge of returning to Sporting Lisbon.

Caughtoffside reports that the Ronaldo transfer to Sporting Lisbon is currently "99% done."

This was announced by the outlet on Thursday in a tweet sent from its Twitter account.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is about to sign for Sporting Lisbon," it tweeted.
"The club will start getting ready for the presentation tomorrow. Ninety-nine percent of the deal is completed.

For weeks, the Sporting team has been getting ready for Ronaldo's comeback.

The fact that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United this summer in order to play in the Champions League has never been a secret.

Presently, it appears that Sporting is the only team in the competition to have given the 37-year-old a spot.
