Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has been warned by former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood that he will be fighting for his job if the Blues' slump continues.

Sherwood added that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a summer signing, is being "terrible" by Chelsea.

After a promising beginning at Stamford Bridge, Potter's reign at Chelsea is currently experiencing difficulty as the west London club has only earned two points in their last four games.

In addition to failing to recover from their 4-1 loss to Brighton at the end of last month, Potter's team suffered a home loss to Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

Following their most recent results, Chelsea has now moved five points outside of the top four spots and is now 13 points behind Arsenal on the log.

Sherwood, however, thinks that if Chelsea loses to Newcastle United the following weekend in their final game before the mid-season break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Potter will face tremendous pressure at Chelsea.

Sherwood asserted: "You can't argue they don't have the strike force" during an appearance on The Kelly and Wrighty Show. Chelsea are making two prolific goal scorers in the Premier League, Aubameyang and Lukaku, look terrible.
“They need to look at themselves." I know it’s two different managers; it’s not all Potter’s fault; it’s Tuchel’s as well.
“But that control of the game is quite boring." I like control of the game and playing progressively forward, but they are not passing it forward quickly enough.
“It’s very difficult to get continuity when Graham Potter keeps making so many changes." You are not at Brighton anymore; you can’t experiment; you have not got time to do that.
“If you lose one more game, everyone will be looking at him." They are not playing well, and we don’t know his best side.
“Everyone is in different positions, so they need some continuity and a way of playing." He’s trying to keep everyone happy, but at this rate he will be sacked and they will get a new manager in.
“He needs to start leaving big players out, and that is what being a manager of a big club is about." "I think he is trying to keep everyone happy, but they are not picking up enough points.”
