Chelsea are rumored to have identified four prospective centre-back replacements for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer.
Both Rudiger and Christensen are poised to leave on free transfers when their contracts expire at the end of the season, so the Stamford Bridge club is in need of defensive reinforcements this summer.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to sign Rudiger and Christensen, respectively.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel wants to bring in two top defenders this summer to replace Rudiger and Christensen, who are both leaving.
And according to Goal, the West London club are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe, Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol and Atletico Madrid’s Jose Giminez as potential replacements for the defenders.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will be able to conduct any business due to the restrictions placed on the club after Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government, with delays to the sale process creating more uncertainty.
Meanwhile, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta could also leave Chelsea, with the Spaniard linked with a switch to Barcelona.
