Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is now wanted by his former club Sporting Lisbon who have reportedly made an offer to re-sign the 38-year-old.

This is following a recent controversy that led to people calling for his deportation from Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo was said to have made an obscene gesture towards Al-Hilal fans after the rival supporters taunted him throughout the league game on Tuesday.

The fans booed and jeered the football icon at the King Fahd International Stadium as Al-Nassr were defeated 2-0.

To provoke the 38-year-old, the fans chanted Lionel Messi’s name and while exiting the pitch, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was allegedly seen grabbing his genitals as a way of getting back to the home fans.

There have been calls for the football icon’s deportation since then, while a prominent lawyer has even vowed to submit a petition to the authorities.

And now El Nacional reports that the Portuguese is unhappy at Al-Nassr and would like a change of scenery.

Sporting CP is said to have submitted an offer for him to return to the club whose training facility is named after him.

Ronaldo joined Sporting youth academy in 1997 and went on to make 31 appearances for the senior team across competitions before leaving for Manchester United in August 2003.
