Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay says he cannot believe his country, Scotland, was able to beat Spain 2-0 in the Euro 2024 qualifier on Tuesday night at Hampden.

McTominay was the goal-scoring hero in the match, and he says he has ‘never seen anything like it’ after the game.

The Manchester United midfielder netted both goals in the win, with Spain not really posing a huge threat to the home side.

“We did really, really well,” McTominay said on Viaplay.

“Look at this place—I've never seen anything like it; it's incredible.

“The manager said this is our chance to create legacies as Scotland players, and these are the nights in 20 or 30 years that people will remember. "We can’t thank the fans enough,” he added.

Scotland has now won the two opening games of the qualifying series to top Group A with six points, three points ahead of Spain.
