Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, has explained why Jack Grealish hasn't played much for the team so far this season.
Grealish, who joined Man City for a club-record £100 million from Aston Villa last summer, has had a disappointing season, scoring only two goals and providing two assists in the Premier League.
This season, the England international has made 19 league starts.
At the moment, Guardiola said Grealish's lack of game time for Man City is due to "tactical considerations," explaining that he simply cannot drop Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden at the moment during his pre-match news conference ahead of Saturday's Premier League encounter against Leeds United.
He said: “He [Grealish] can [have an impact]. Nothing changes just because in that position, Riyad has been with us for a long time, and in important games, he gives you something unique and special.
“And Phil Foden is so determined in his will and many things. For Phil, always, his impact on the game is huge – it’s just for that reason. ”
