Transfer market expert Neil Jones has said Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is unlikely to become a Liverpool player this summer despite the enormous quality of the Nigerian striker.
In his column for Caught Offside, Jones insisted that he would be amazed if Osimhen joined the Premier League giants this summer because of the many attacking players in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Osimhen has drawn interest from a host of top European clubs this summer, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal.
“While I don’t like to dismiss stories or talk down what other journalists might be hearing from their sources, I have to say I would be amazed to see Liverpool sign Victor Osimhen, as has been reported elsewhere, or any other striker of that caliber or asking price, for that matter,” Jones said.
Osimhen was Serie A’s top scorer last season.
The 24-year-old attacker also won the Serie A title with Napoli.
The former Lille star is said to be valued at £150 million by Napoli.
