In response to allegations involving pictures and videos, Greenwood, 21, was detained in January of last year.
The Crown Prosecution Service clarified on Thursday that the charges against Greenwood were dropped as a result of key witnesses quitting their respective cases.
However, in a short statement after the announcement, Greenwood said: “I am relieved that this matter is now over, and I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and friends for their support."
“There will be no further comment at this time.”
