In order to be ready for the 2023–24 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Lobi Stars have increased their preparations.

Sunday marked the beginning of the Pride of Rivers' exercise involving close camping.

“Lobi Stars arrive in Jos, Plateau State, to further intensify training,” the club said in a short message on their Facebook page.
“We will play some friendly games in preparation for the NPFL 2023–24 season.”

On September 16, Lobi Stars will face Heartland, the 2023 Nigeria National League champions, in Owerri to begin their season.

The Shooting Stars and Plateau United will play each other in Ibadan this weekend to kick off the new campaign.
