Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for Manchester United, claims the organization's leadership questioned him after he skipped preseason because his daughter was hospitalized.
Ronaldo claimed that United had betrayed him in the first TalkTV clips, and he also claimed that he didn't respect manager Erik ten Hag.
The 37-year-old has now claimed that the club didn't believe him when he said that his daughter, Bella, was in the hospital with bronchitis - just three months after her twin brother had passed away - in the newest teaser from the sit-down with Piers Morgan.
“I spoke with the director and the president of Manchester United, and they kind of didn’t believe that something was going wrong, which made me feel bad,” Ronaldo told TalkTV.
Ronaldo added: “And it is something that really hurt me because they doubted my word that I was struggling, especially Bella and Geo [Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo’s girlfriend].
“I didn’t want to leave my family to do the preseason because I didn’t think it was fair to leave my family for a preseason." "This is why I didn’t go.”
The full length of the interview with Morgan will be released in two parts on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
