Manchester United U16s have won the 2nd Jockey Club Youth Football Academy tournament in Hong Kong following their 3-0 rout of Guangdong U17 in the showpiece game on Friday, August 17.
The Red Devils thrashed Hong Kong FA Academy U17 6-1 in their opening game, before beating Hong Kong District All-Stars 2-1 in their final group game.
In the final, Shola Shoretire scored Manchester United's first goal, Iestyn Hughes added a second in the 39th minute before Charlie Savage made it 3-0 in the 45th minute.
Shoretire, who was wearing the number ten jersey, showed excellent ball control before firing home a right-footed volley from close range in the 25th minute.
The highly-rated teenager, who is comfortably playing as a winger and striker, was elected the Man of the Match for his impressive display in the final.
Shoretire is being monitored by the English Football Association with a view to a call-up to one of their youth teams.
He was also on target in United's win against Hong Kong FA Academy U17 on Tuesday.
