Golden Eaglets captain Simon Cletus has once again proven his exceptional skills, earning the Man of the Match title for the second game in a row following Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Niger Republic on Sunday night.
Cletus had previously been honored as Man of the Match during Nigeria’s 0-0 draw with Burkina Faso last Friday.
The young captain delivered another stellar performance against a determined Niger Republic team. The Golden Eaglets clinched their win with a decisive header from Rapha Adams at the 30-minute mark.
Despite finishing the game with 10 men after Chibuike Okorie was sent off in the second half, Manu Garba’s squad held their ground and secured the victory.
Next, the Golden Eaglets are set to face an already eliminated Togo in their final group match on Wednesday.
