Manchester United are finally set to announce their first signing of the current transfer window.
The Red Devils have agreed a deal to sign Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia, and his move to Manchester United is now "imminent".
The player only has to say “yes” and the deal will be sealed.
Erik ten Hag is eager to add a full back to the squad ahead of the new season. Malacia, a Netherlands international, is now subject to medical review.
Malacia was thought to be heading to France after Feyenoord agreed to a €15 million deal with Lyon, but Manchester United look to have hijacked that deal.
Voetbal International reports that Feyenoord also agreed a deal with Manchester United on Monday night.
Feyenoord sporting director, Frank Arnesen, has also confirmed that an agreement is in place with United.
“The agreement is there,” Arnesen said, according to Metro.
“We are now waiting for Tyrell [Malacia]. If he says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent. "
Malacia also shares an agent with Barcelona’s Frankie de Jong, who Manchester United are hopeful of signing in the coming weeks.
