Newcastle United are keen to sign three Chelsea players, Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Hakim Ziyech, in this January transfer window.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is eager to bolster his options as the Magpies look to secure a top-four finish and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Howe wants to bring in another central midfielder, with Gallagher and Loftus-Cheek two options being explored, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Gallagher, who has started eight out of Chelsea’s 19 Premier League games this season, is admired on Tyneside, along with Loftus-Cheek, who is a long-term target of Newcastle’s head of recruitment, Steve Nickson.
While Chelsea manager Graham Potter would be reluctant to let the midfield duo leave Stamford Bridge, the report added that the club were prepared to sell Ziyech this month, which could boost Newcastle’s efforts to sign the Morocco international.
Chelsea must drop two non-homegrown players from their Champions League squad ahead of the knockout stages of the competition if they wish to register new signings Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Benoit Badiashile.
