The Nigeria football federation today at her 2018 extra ordinary general assembly held today in Benin city Edo state affirmed it that the five years ban imposed by the association on Chris Giwa and few others has been lifted and also offered the provisional readmission of Giwa FC to Bet9ja Nigeria professional league, though the decision is subjected to ratification by the general assembly.
The decision taken today is part of the steps to be taken in order to have a lasting panacea to the crisis that has been rocking the association since 2014, it should be noted that Giwa and few others were sanctioned in 2016 due to their post 2014 election actions taken by them which led them to be parading Giwa as the substantial President of the association.Though, Giwa has been ordered to withdraw all the cases he filed against the association. The NFF crisis reawakened early last month when a federal high court in Jos declared Giwa as the substantial President to occupy the glass house and ordered Amaju Pinnick to vacate his position at the glass house. Though, the world football governing body do not tolerate any intervention by the local court except that of court of arbitration of sports.
