Nine players from Zaki Mairiga FC have faced suspension by the Nationwide League One (NLO) following an incident involving the assault of a match official during a recent league match against Gombe Warriors.

As a consequence of Zaki Mairiga's disruption of the game, the NLO has awarded Gombe Warriors three points and three goals. Additionally, Zaki Mairiga FC has been fined N100,000 for the unruly conduct of its players during the match.

Furthermore, the club is required to pay an additional N119,150.00 to cover expenses for treatments and missing items as claimed by the referees.

The NLO has confirmed that notices of the players' suspensions will be sent to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for further action.

Additionally, the management of Zaki Mairiga FC has been cautioned to refrain from engaging in any actions that may tarnish the reputation of the game.
