Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala clinches UEFA Women’s Champions League Goal of the Season award

Asisat Oshoala, the renowned Super Falcons forward, has been honored with the UEFA Women’s Champions League Goal of the Season award, according to Naijacrawl.

Oshoala’s spectacular bicycle kick for Barcelona against Benfica during matchday one was singled out by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel as the standout goal.

Oshoala's former Barcelona teammate, Aitana Bonmati, secured the second spot for her impressive bending strike in the quarter-final second-leg against Brann. Lyon’s Delphine Cascarino claimed third place with a remarkable long-range goal in the quarter-final second-leg victory over Benfica.

In February, Oshoala made a significant move from Barcelona to Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). She made an immediate impact on her NWSL debut, scoring the decisive goal in Bay FC’s 1-0 triumph over Angel City.
