From the initial kickoff at the MKO Abiola Stadium, the Super Falcons seized control of the match, setting the tempo and creating numerous scoring opportunities. The crowd erupted in joy as Uchenna Kanu broke the deadlock in the seventh minute, marking the beginning of an impressive performance by the home team.
Maintaining their relentless attack, the Super Falcons extended their lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute, courtesy of Gift Monday, who capitalized on a goalmouth scramble.
