Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has been named as Erik ten Hag's assistant at Manchester United.
Mitchell van der Gaag was already chosen as another assistant by the Dutchman, who wants to work with the bulk of his compatriots at Old Trafford.
The 52-year-old Hag is likely to take over as manager at Old Trafford this summer.
According to the Mirror, the Dutchman has already agreed to bring Van der Gaag, who is now his Ajax assistant.
Van Persie, who played for Manchester United at the twilight of his career, would join Ten Hag's backroom staff at United.
It is thought that Van Persie is undecided about the offer with family ties back in Holland at the forefront of his decision making.
Robin van Persie spent three years at Manchester United as a player.
