Erik ten Hag has described Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho as a threat to the opponent’s defense, but insists the 18-year-old must be scoring goals.
He also said that he sees the young Argentina’s emotional side as a strength and hopes the teenager starts to contribute more goals.
Garnacho was visibly angry after he came on in the second half against Crystal Palace last weekend only to be subbed off again as the Dutch manager changed formation following Casemiro’s red card.
“I think he is doing well,” Ten Hag, whose side faces Leeds United again on Sunday, told reporters on Friday.
“He has an impact on our game." I think he’s a threat.
“As a striker, you have to be on that list—the scoring list, assist list, key action list—to have the right impact.”
