The top player Manchester United could sign to replace Cristiano Ronaldo if the forward eventually leaves Old Trafford has been revealed.

Ronaldo could force Manchester United to jump into the transfer market and attempt the signing of either Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar or Barcelona target Robert Lewandowski, who is keen to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

With just five weeks to go before the start of the 2022–2023 Premier League campaign, Ronaldo has asked the Red Devils to listen to offers for him.

However, ESPN reports that Manchester United could look toward those two big names, Neymar and Lewandowski, who are currently on the market to replace Ronaldo..

The newspaper also mentioned Bayern and Napoli as clubs with tentative interest in signing the Portugal captain.

Chelsea have also been in the conversation as Ronaldo’s next destination and their co-owner Todd Boehly also had a meeting with the player’s agent Jorge Mendes.

However, the Blues are yet to decide on whether to make a formal bid for Ronaldo, with Boehly set to discuss with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel in the coming days regarding making a move for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner or not.
