Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has caught the attention of South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs once again, following his remarkable displays for Chippa United this season.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper, who recently inked a three-year contract extension with Chippa United and took on the role of club captain, has been a standout performer. Nwabali boasts an impressive record of four clean sheets in 11 league matches, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s top goalkeepers.

Currently sitting in sixth place on the South African league table, Chippa United has struggled defensively, conceding 13 goals—the highest in the league. Despite this, Nwabali’s performances between the sticks have been exceptional.

According to South African sports outlet Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs are considering reigniting their interest in Nwabali during the January transfer window. The Chiefs were previously linked to the goalkeeper last summer before he committed to staying with the Chili Boys.

With his current form, Nwabali continues to prove his worth and could be the key to bolstering Kaizer Chiefs’ defense if the transfer materializes. Stay tuned for updates as the January window approaches!
