Cristiano Ronaldo’s attempt to leave Al-Nassr for Real Madrid has been rejected, according to El Nacional.
Al-Nassr have seen their lead at the top of the Saudi Arabia Pro League slip away in recent weeks.
They are currently three points off leaders Al-Ittihad, who also have one game in hand.
Ronaldo only arrived in January in a stunning transfer worth £173million per year.
His arrival has coincided with a decline in results for Al-Nassr, despite his 12 goals in 15 matches.
It is believed that the Portugal captain is desperate to leave Riyadh after just four months.
Ronaldo’s first choice option was to return to Real Madrid, where he scored 450 goals in 438 first-team appearances. But this was rejected by club president Florentino Perez, who does not see the forward as benefiting the club’s sporting project.
