The uncertainties that surround the future of the Argentina's superstar Lionel Messi in the Argentina national team has become a major concern for the interim coach of the Argentina national team Lionel Scaloni.
The coach has now categorically stated it that he doesn't know if Lionel Messi will return to play for the national team again or he has call it a day with the team.
It is to be noted that after the elimination of the Argentine team by France at the just concluded FIFA world cup in Russia, Messi, who was the captain of the team at the tournament has taken an indefinite break from the team.
It will be recalled that Messi was begged by the Argentina's President to halt his international career's retirement plan after the Argentina's team failed to win the South America continental cup in 2016 and has since then started playing relentlessly for the team again.
But the concern now is that the Barcelona superstar was not included in Scaloni's first squad for international friendlies against Guatemala in Los Angeles on September 7 and Colombia in New Jersey in September 11.
During yesterday news conference, Scaloni said "I spoke to him and after that talk, he has not been called up for these games. Honestly, we have not spoken about what will happen in the future. "We all know what he represents for us, and we shall see what happens. I have a good relationship with him, it was a good chat that we had and we were very clear. He will not be in this call up, and in the future, we shall see."
However, it is not only Messi that is left out of the squad, some first class players are also left out such as Sergio Aguero, Nicolas Otamendi, Angel Di Maria, Gonzalo Higuain and some others However, Scaloni Illume it that there is no player that has told him officially that he did not want to come to the Argentina national team, and also, the coach is of the opinion that all the decisions he has taken are for the good of the national team and to try to see what he can bring to the future.
