After Mohamed Salah intimated that he was out for revenge against Real Madrid in the Champions League final, former Aston Villa captain Gabriel Agbonlahor has urged the Egyptian to be careful what he wishes for.
Last night, Real Madrid made another incredible comeback to knock Manchester City out of Europe's top competition and set up a rematch of the 2018 Champions League final.
On May 28, the Reds and Los Blancos will meet again at the Stade de France in Paris.
Salah was wounded early in the 2018 final and quickly sent a message on social media following Real Madrid's victory, stating on Instagram: "We have a Goal to settle."
“I think Liverpool will be delighted with that result and that they’re playing Real Madrid again, but they shouldn’t be over delighted,” former Aston Villa captain Gabby Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
“Mo Salah tweeted like he’s got a score to settle, but something that can come back to bite you.
Real Madrid are not mugs. They showed last night they were the better team. They’ve still got some great players.
“And they can rest all their players for three weeks."
“La Liga is won. They can get their feet up, get the massages in, a little bit of training, while Liverpool have got to play their best team every game.”
