Christian Pulisic, a star for Chelsea, has received advice from Arsenal legend Thierry Henry to either launch his career at Stamford Bridge or leave the team.
The former French striker insisted that the American must contribute something to the conversation and insisted that success will not just come to him.
"You have to come and deliver at some point," he continued. It's also about you and the contributions you can make, Henry said on CBS Sports.
Prior to Thomas Tuchel's dismissal as manager of the Blues on Wednesday, the US international had started just one game for the club this year.
He is said to be frustrated by his limited playing time in west London, and there are rumors that a new manager at Stamford Bridge could change things around for him.
But Henry believes the American must also show that he is willing and ready to bring out his best under a new manager.
“You can be the best chef in the world, but if the guy doesn’t put anything on the table, what are you going to cook?” Henry continued.
It’s always about the coach, it’s always about helping him. Can you bring something to the table for me to cook?
“Now I don’t think he’s a bad player. I’m just saying at what point can it come from you?" At what point can he free himself? "
