Nigerian music star Asake has finally responded after his father, Fatai Odunsi, accused him of abandonment.

Odunsi, who is reportedly battling a partial stroke, recently went viral in a video where he pleaded for financial help, claiming he had not seen Asake since his illness began in March 2022.

In response, Asake addressed the allegations through a new freestyle video released on Friday, emphasizing the impossibility of satisfying everyone.

He expressed frustration over the situation, stating that despite his continuous financial support, his father was still attempting to manipulate him.

“You can’t please humans, you can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me even though I have always sent him a lot of money. I have struggled for so many years, yet they want to make life hard and exhausting for me,” Asake freestyled in a blend of Yoruba and English.

His response has since sparked reactions, with many weighing in on the ongoing family drama.
