Björk has revealed the name of her upcoming album, "Fossora," and talked about how it's inspired by her mother's passing in 2018.

The Icelandic singer made the follow-up to 2017's "Utopia," which is expected to arrive this autumn, official in a new interview with The Guardian.

"Sorrowful Soil" and "Ancestress," two songs from the album, are reportedly direct homages to the singer's late mother, Hildur Rna Hauksdóttir, who passed away in 2018.

She sings: "The machine of her breathed all night while she slept/Revealed her resilience/And then it didn't" on the latter track.

The singer continued, "That's quite early. My mother passed away at 72. I believe that my brother and I weren't prepared to We believed she had another ten years. So we said, "Come on," and forced her to struggle. and it appeared as though she had an internal clock and was simply prepared to move.
