In a bombshell revelation shaking the Nigerian music scene, Muyeez, a rising star under Seyi Vibez’s wings, has announced his departure from Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited, citing “exploitation, neglect, and betrayal.

” This exposé comes just days after Dapper Music’s owner made headlines for splurging on a new car for his celebrity girlfriend, Hilda Baci, while allegedly neglecting his artist’s well-being.

Taking to Instagram, Muyeez, whose real name is Moshood Abdulmuiz, delivered a scathing account of his ordeal, accusing the label of turning from “Dapper to Ripper.” In an emotionally charged post, he wrote:

“What should have been a dream turned into a nightmare. I was treated like a commodity, overworked, unpaid, and abandoned while my creativity funded their lavish lifestyles.”

Muyeez revealed he was just a minor when he signed his contract, placing blind trust in a company he believed would nurture his budding career. Instead, he claims he was met with exploitative demands, including releasing three EPs in just one month — all of which topped charts, yet earned him zero royalties.

The artist went on to detail how he was left to fend for himself, enduring sleepless nights and even hunger, while Dapper Music allegedly profited from his work without providing any financial or emotional support.

Adding insult to injury, Muyeez accused the label of creating a conflict of interest by doubling as his management, leaving no independent oversight to protect his interests.

Citing the following reasons for terminating his contract, Muyeez outlined a damning case against Dapper Music:

1.Exploitation of a Minor: Signing a legally questionable contract with a minor who lacked the capacity to understand its terms.

2.Unrealistic Demands: Forcing him to overwork with no regard for his well-being.

3.Financial Neglect: Refusing to provide transparency or royalties despite his chart-topping success.

4.Inhumane Treatment: Leaving him in dire financial straits while enjoying the fruits of his labor.

5.Conflict of Interest: Acting as both label and management, prioritizing their profits over his welfare.

Legal Action Looms

“This fight isn’t just for me. It’s for every young artist who’s been exploited and silenced. I will pursue justice to ensure no one else endures this nightmare.”

The post has ignited a firestorm on social media, with fans and industry stakeholders expressing outrage over Muyeez’s plight. Many are questioning how a label owner could flaunt luxury purchases for his partner while allegedly failing to pay his artist.

As Muyeez rebuilds his career, he’s made it clear that no one is authorized to act or speak on his behalf without explicit consent. He’s calling on his fans and the industry to stand with him in this fight for accountability, fairness, and respect.

This development indicate the growing issue in the Nigerian music industry where young, talented artists are exploited by those meant to guide them.
