Reality TV star and singer, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, recently expressed a shift in his aspirations, revealing a waning interest in the prestigious Grammy Awards.

The winner of BBNaija Season 6 cited concerns over the integrity of the American accolade, suggesting that it has diminished in significance.

In a candid interview with content creator, Egungun, Whitemoney disclosed that he now sets his sights on local recognition, particularly the esteemed Headies Awards.

He emphasized a pragmatic approach, prioritizing awards that contribute to his relevance in the industry.

“The way things are going now, Grammy don cast. Make we manage Headies," Whitemoney remarked. "I’m not sure if I’m still pursuing my desire of winning Grammys. Now I’m pursuing any award that keeps me relevant."
The BBNaija star highlighted recent controversies surrounding Nigerian artists Davido and Burna Boy at the Grammy Awards, suggesting a possible exploitation of Nigerian talent for publicity. Despite his reservations, Whitemoney remains open to the possibility of Grammy recognition in the future, driven by his unique musical style.
"Never say never," he added. "If it takes me to the Grammys, no wahala."
