Oladapo Oyebanji, also known as D'Banj, is the subject of several allegations made by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC), but his attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has maintained that the singer is innocent of all of them.

The attorney demanded that D'Banj be released while also requesting that the National Assembly look into the situation by looking into the accusations made against him.

Additionally, he urged the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to disclose the names of those the singer is said to have conspired with.

Remember how the ICPC said in a statement on Wednesday that the singer was being held for allegedly diverting N-Power funds.

Part of the statement read: “We, in the same vein, reiterate that D’banj has no such access nor has he colluded with any government officials over any dubious transaction. The very allegation is a nightmare that must be dispelled by an assertion of the truth of D’banj’s unimpeachable innocence.”
