Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has emphasized that effective leadership is the missing link to unlocking Nigeria's full potential.
Speaking on the Elevate Africa Convos podcast, Davido expressed optimism about Nigeria’s prospects but criticized poor governance as a significant barrier to progress.
“Nigeria has everything it takes to prosper, but effective leadership is what’s missing. Once we get that right, nothing can stop us,” Davido stated. He also remarked, “If you can survive in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere.”
Davido's remarks follow his controversial advice to Americans against relocating to Africa, particularly Nigeria, citing the country's struggling economy during a podcast interview.
Additionally, during an appearance on The Morning Hustle podcast, the globally acclaimed artist underscored Nigeria’s lack of genuine democracy as a critical issue.
The artist’s candid views continue to ignite conversations on governance, democracy, and the country’s future.
