Famous Nigerian singer Davido, also known as David Adeleke, recently praised the global success of current Nigerian artists, attributing it to the sacrifices made by Afrobeats legends like 2Baba, D’banj, and P-Square.

In a recent episode of The Bridge Show, Davido emphasized how the next generation of artists will benefit from the groundwork laid by him and his colleagues. He recalled his own experience when he signed with an international record label in 2016.

Despite his superstar status in Africa, the label initially overlooked his achievements and wanted him to prove himself again.

Davido highlighted the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by pioneers like D’banj, P-Square, and 2Face, whose efforts paved the way for the current wave of Nigerian artists.

He expressed confidence that the music industry will continue to thrive, with future generations benefiting from the groundwork laid by today's artists.

Overall, Davido's insights shed light on the evolution of Nigerian music and the enduring legacy of its pioneers.
