Pheelz, a Nigerian music producer, has achieved yet another milestone in the Nigerian musical hall of fame, as he has been named as one of the contenders for the BET Awards 2022's "Best New International Act.

In the 21-year history of the American awards platform, this is the first time a Nigerian producer has been nominated for the category. Ayra Starr, the Mavin Princess, was also nominated for "Best New International Act," a category in which she will compete against Pheelz, Cleo Sol, MD Chefe, Guy2BezBar, Digga D, SMD, and Young Stunna.

The 2022 BET Awards will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson, a Hollywood actress.
