The funk-tinged song is the singer/songwriter's first brand-new work since the release of his fourth studio album, "Who Cares?" back in March.
The singer, real name Alex O'Connor, said, "This song was really made for August... when it's hot outside." Roll down your windows in the car and blast this while you're driving or while you're outside.
O'Connor continued by announcing that "Threat" was a "single off" that was "for the summer."
The animated visualiser for the song shows a man clinging to the driver's door of a red car as it drives down a road toward the sunset. The license plate for the car reads "THR-34T."
