The band's most recent single, "The End, So Far," is taken from their upcoming album, which will be released on September 30 via Roadrunner Records.

According to a press release, this song is "a showcase of Slipknot's exceptional range" and the band is "charting new territory as they continue to redefine, revitalise, and reimagine the scope of rock music" with this record. It follows on from the previous single, "The Dying Song."

The band's Corey Taylor recently talked about how he approached writing the group's upcoming album, "The End, So Far."

Taylor spoke to Kerrang, where he also talked about the band’s previous record, "We Are Not Your Kind", and their latest single, "The Dying Song."
