Award-winning Nigerian singer and half of the P-Square duo, Peter Okoye, aka Mr.



P, has described the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) resolve to use its standby force to restore constitutional order in the Republic of Niger as “total madness.”

The Daily Post reported that the President of ECOWAS, Omar Alieu Touray, gave the order while reading out the resolution of the subregional body’s extraordinary meeting on Thursday in Abuja.

Reacting via his verified Twitter handle, Mr. P accused the West African body of joining the West to fight fellow Africans.

He wrote, “Africa joins the West to fight Africa. Total madness.”
