Fast-rising Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, a Nigerian artist, has fired his whole music staff.
The artist made the announcement in a video posted to his official Instagram page, warning fans against engaging with them on his behalf in the future.
He accused Ijoba Danku, his music promoter, his disc jockey, and his manager, among others, of feigning affection for him. Portable also stated that he requires a new music team and that this time legal paperwork will be used to tie their contracts.
He blogged about the video while sharing it.
I got money, and I still need more people to help me. They all show me phony love, so why are you sending people who need help from me away? CEO Dr. Zeh dey, make everyone come sign if we still dey work together. ZAzuu!
This follows a Twitter dispute prompted by a Nigerian freelance journalist, Taiwo Alabi, who claimed that fast-rising Nigerian artist Portable needs treatment.
Alabi stated in a tweet that has elicited conflicting comments from Zazu Zeh fans that the singer should be in recovery and not singing at gigs.
Alabi went on to say that narcotics had ruined Portable's life, and that he is now damaged and in need of assistance.
"They gave Portable money and fame while ignoring the reality that he is damaged and in need of assistance; drugs have wrecked him; he needs to be in rehab rather than performing on stage." Taiwo Alabi sent out a tweet.
